"Mixed-media artist Frankie Slaughter works with a variety of materials, including paint, encaustic, textile, paper, and porcelain. Her inspiration for Wheels and Arrows and Broken Promises began with her deep conviction to be a woman of her word. Promises, and the weight of them, became the starting point for her thoughts. As it evolved, Slaughter started to explore the principle of trust, the impact of broken promises, and the strength it takes to move forward.
